Editorial Reviews. About the Author. Nicola spent her childhood in Los Angeles with her The Sheik and the Slave - Kindle edition by Nicola Italia. Romance. The Sheik and the Slave book. Read 37 reviews from the world's largest community for readers. Their Lives as Harem Slaves . DOWNLOAD PDF .. “I deem this slave as an acceptable addition to my harem,” the Sheik said, just before pulling his cock free .

The main character is also highly intelligent and strong willed, and the Sheik appreciates that about her. I don't want to spoil the book by telling what happens, but I enjoyed every moment of it.

Dec 20, Sassy rated it really liked it. Excellent Historical Romance that I thoroughly enjoyed. There are a few dark scenes that might be disturbing to some, but, unfortunately, these things did actually happen at that time. The story was amazingly well told and grabbed my attention from first page to last. I look forward to reading Ms. Italia' s newest book, just released.

Aug 05, Seth Abshire rated it did not like it Shelves: This book was won for free through Goodreads Firsr Reads Guveaway. The beginning of this book really pulled me in.

I liked it from the first page I thought this book was going to be more of a romance, but it is almost strictly erotica. Too much of it as well.

Every single page. Would not recommend. Apr 10, Deborah Necessary rated it did not like it. All this book needed was an evil guy in a black cape and a stove pipe hat tying the struggling slave girl to the railroad tracks and then twirling his mustache as he laughed maniaciallly.

I mean how many times can one person be abducted in a lifetime? Apr 12, Cheryl marked it as cnf Shelves: I don't think you could call this historical romance with the word "snatch" in it! I enjoyed the beginning but it fell apart after about chapter 3 for me. Too many POVs for one thing.

I don't need to hear every characters POV, this book had literally everyones. Now I know why some books are free. Apr 07, Alicia Catlos rated it did not like it. Based on vocabulary and dialog this books appears to have been written by a horny sixteen year old. Jul 13, Mom23greatboys rated it really liked it Shelves: Hmm, I'm not sure quite what to say about The Sheikh and the Slave.

I'm almost alittle embarrassed to even admit I read it. It reminds me so much of the old Bodice Rippers but more explicit. There is definitely a love story here though mixed within the heavy erotica. I mention this because I'm not sure I would have given myself a chance to read far enough into Hmm, I'm not sure quite what to say about The Sheikh and the Slave.

I mention this because I'm not sure I would have given myself a chance to read far enough into the book to get beyond some very uncomfortable but somewhat scintillating scenes. I'm glad though that I did. Just past the half way point in the book the erotica takes a back seat and the love story becomes the focus. Were all the explicit scenes necessary? Hmm, again I'm not sure but it does allow us to see great change in the mind set of the Hero.

At one point in the book or really multiple times I could not have ever thought I'd think of Mohammed as a Hero. My thinking may be just too western and possibly even puritanical to really wrap my head around Harems and the "Hero" buying and selling of a woman. Be warned though this is not your mother's or grandmother's romance and very rarely did the author fade to black.

There is a deep love story here as well as adventure and unusual settings. Please be aware though this book is not for everyone and definitely not for anyone under really I'd say over 21 even. There are very controversial topics including rape and incest. Apr 08, Shasha rated it did not like it Shelves: Oh no, I just got through the prologue and it's stuffing a modern girl into history.

Also, some of the information is repeated enough to insult my intelligence.

Argh and mixed modern language with old English! I will keep reading, maybe it will get better. It felt like a narrator was telling me about everyone's thoughts with some dialogue thrown in to string along the story.

I will see how far I get. The heroine is judged on her beauty and her upstart brains.

She Oh no, I just got through the prologue and it's stuffing a modern girl into history. She is hated and sold into slavery. Some unsavory descriptive language regarding female and male anatomy that is definitely not historical.

And now the story descends into sex with many different partners with the sheik by the way most stories use sheikh. If this is supposed to be erotic it comes across as crass. Skimmed the rest. This girl is hated and hated and hated bleh. Read other reviews if you like this kind of story.

May 11, Stephanie rated it really liked it. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend it for anyone who would enjoy a well-written exotic romance. Thumbs up! Kathleen Fairfax is a young English woman excited about exploring the challenges of finding a loving husband.

Will she escape and find her way home? Or will Sheik Sexy wear down her alrea I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend it for anyone who would enjoy a well-written exotic romance.

Or will Sheik Sexy wear down her already diminishing defenses? Kathleen has very little time to maneuver Jun 24, Denise rated it did not like it. If I could give this book a no stars rating I would have.

This book is horrendous! It has a stupid storyline with far too much badly dwritten sex scenes, rape and kidnappings. It was a tremendous struggle to finish this book! The author needs to either get some lessons in writing or never write another book. Jul 08, Lefulefu rated it it was amazing Recommends it for: Recommended to Lefulefu by: The Sheik and the Slave. Aug 28, Chelsea rated it did not like it Shelves: This is the biggest piece of trash I have ever read, and not in a fun way.

I was attempting to read this for a romance challenge, but am going to have to switch titles, because I just can't take this any more. The "sheikh romance" notice the spelling subgenre has its definite problems but Italia takes them to a new level with the blatant amounts of "rape is sexy!!!! I would give this zero This is the biggest piece of trash I have ever read, and not in a fun way.

I would give this zero stars if I could. View 2 comments. Mar 30, Gabriel Dedeic rated it it was amazing. It was a passionate love story.

The Sheik and the Slave

The flames of hunger and need leap from the pages. The relation of Mohammad and Kathrine is one of turmoil and passion. The story spans from the lush green of England to sand dunes of Arabia, two worlds colliding.

I highly recommend this book. A great read on a stormy night.

Dec 27, Briana Thompson rated it really liked it. Crazy ride to the end There were many twists that were completely unexpected. There was no predictions the outcome like you can with other books. Jan 13, kattie rated it it was amazing. Slave I loved this story, I recommend everyone to read this book, I look forward to reading more of her books.

May 05, Cassie rated it liked it. I normally like most all books I read that are romance. This one however reads like a porno.

I'm not a shy miss about romance novels either, but in spots of this book it's this one sleeps with that one, this one goes down on another, and so on. This alone wouldn't have been enough to make me not like the book, but it seemed as if the author couldn't decide what she wanted to happen to Mohammed and Katherine. A previous review I read said if they had just talked they could have been together earlier.

I don't think that's true. They talked, told each other how they felt, but still they constantly turned their backs on each other. I won't be reading anymore of Ms. Nicola's books Apr 14, Julie rated it really liked it. I will start with I will read anything about a sheik, it's kind of my weird obsession.

Sheik & the Slave #1

So this book is definitely not for the faint of heart, it is erotica and has very graphic sex scenes. That being said I liked it well enough, it was a bit long and I wish the two main characters would have had more time together for their relationship development but it was interesting. I read this one in a day because I had to see what was going to happen to the heroine next, bless her heart she had really cr I will start with I will read anything about a sheik, it's kind of my weird obsession.

I read this one in a day because I had to see what was going to happen to the heroine next, bless her heart she had really crappy luck. All that irresistible beauty that every man wants can be hard on a girl ya know. In closing, lot of graphic sex, strong characters, and a HEA.

Mar 09, Lindsay rated it really liked it. I picked this book up at my local bookstore because the owner recommended it. To start off, I really did enjoy the book. The characters are really well developed for a bodice ripper type npvel.

The story is pretty good too and it's a difficult book to put down. There are some really good conflicts that aren't really dealt with, they just kind of sort themselves out so the couple never really deals with much turmoil. I would have liked to see I picked this book up at my local bookstore because the owner recommended it. I would have liked to see these plot points dealt with more. But overall it was a good and easy read. May 03, Laura Kelley rated it did not like it.

It was a struggle to even finish this book. I say "book," but what I really mean is far too many chapters of rape scenes, ridiculous kidnappings, gratuitous and horribly written sex, and just bad writing. This is like one of the worst romances of the 80s come back to life to haunt us. I am so glad I got this for free, it is not worth actual money.

Nobody thinks this is a sensible idea, and Lady Conway —a real person who appears in the book as a minor character—disapprovingly attributes Diana's adventurous plan to her "scandalous" upbringing. Diana's mother had died giving birth to her and her father had killed himself from grief, with the result that Diana grew up tomboyish, with a freedom that at the time was normally only allowed to boys.

Before Diana leaves on her journey, her independent character is further established when she refuses a proposal of marriage, explaining that she doesn't know what love is and doesn't want to know.

Once she begins travelling in the desert, it is not long before she is kidnapped by the eponymous Sheik , Ahmed Ben Hassan. It turns out her guide had been bribed. Ahmed takes Diana to his tent and rapes her, an event that happens off stage, between the second and third chapters.

Eventually, she is allowed increasing liberty and starts going riding with Ahmed's valet, Gaston. One day, she manages to escape Gaston on one of these rides and gallops away.

She is quickly recaptured by Ahmed, however, and as they are riding back to camp, she is overcome by the sudden realisation that she is in love with him.

She knows she can say nothing of this, as Ahmed—who claims to find love dull—will send her away if he learns of her love. Over time, as Diana submits to Ahmed's violent treatment of her, she regains his trust. It is made clear that he is punishing her because she is English, but not why he is doing this. Eventually, Diana is allowed to go riding again but is kidnapped by a rival sheik and taken away.

When Ahmed finds this out, he realises his love for her and sets out to get her back. He succeeds but is badly wounded in the process and taken back to his tent. There, one of Ahmed's friends explains to Diana why he hates the English: his father, who was English, had dreadfully mistreated his Spanish mother, and Ahmed had sworn revenge on the entire English nation as a result. When Ahmed finally recovers, he explains to Diana that he is going to send her away.Add to Read List.
